I’ve been developing products since 2013, and every one of them started the same way: listening. Design thinking is how I work — research with the people who will use the product, conversations with the client until the real need is clear, and prototypes tested before anything is built. For seven years I took products from brief to installation for my own brand in Mexico City. Today I bring that process to social innovation, designing platforms and communication for organisations that help communities and small businesses in Mexico prepare for disasters.
My bachelor thesis in 2016 was furniture for temporary shelters — the room layout Mexico’s civil protection manual never defined. Today I design for organisations working on disaster and epidemic response.
The projects look nothing alike, but the job is the same: someone holds real expertise, and the form it is stored in stops the person who needs it from acting on it under pressure. A manual, a resilience score, a donation page. The work is making that knowledge usable.
Read the thesis casePlatforms, email systems and brand identities for disaster-resilience organisations in Mexico. Rebuilt the Resiliencia en una Caja self-assessment to a 92.6% completion rate, and took the monthly newsletter’s open rate from 20.3% to 27.6%.
